Change is a natural process in life. We know this in our bones and yet it can still hit really hard. Entering perimenopause or being in the menopause can be like a threshing and dismantling of everything you knew about yourself.

Adding health issues like injury or illness into the mix can be painful and anxiety inducing, affecting way more than just your physical body. The psychological and emotional impact can be huge, especially if you’re used to being healthy and active. When a part of your identity is tied up with your capacity to lead, create, support others and be a moving, vital person, you can feel betrayed and broken.

Likely you may have done all the things: physio exercises, listened to wellbeing podcasts, changed your diet, added in supplements and yet there still feels like something fundamental is missing. It’s like you’ve lost an essential sense of who you are.

During a health /life transition or crisis it can feel as if life has asked you to take a pause, and make room for a necessary change. How do you answer that call? What’s needed?

I Believe

I believe that the body, mind and emotions aren’t separate, they all need tending to. It is in this space that integration and healing can happen.

In switching off the noise, giving yourself a space to be seen and heard can be deeply transformative. You can illuminate hidden stories and treasures of your past and present.

Letting go of what you no longer need, brings the opportunity for choice. Being in your body and life differently. This can be very empowering.

Gradually there can be room for more radical acceptance, more optimism and joy, something which is much needed in the world right now.

I believe that during through the process of change, it’s possible to access your unique intuition, supporting a new version of yourself to emerge.

As a professional dancer, then craniosacral therapist and Scaravelli inspired yoga teacher, I’ve worked with and listened to the stories people hold in their bodies for several decades. I can help you listen to yours.

And I’ve been there. Crashing into perimenpaouse with an autoimmune disorder and crashing out of menopause (literally) with 2 broken bones, 2 total hip replacements and a side dish of breast cancer.

My work is co-creative, trauma informed and empathic. I care a lot, about people and the planet. I may laugh and cry with you.

During our time together, some themes of the healing pathway can include:

  • Self care: The stories held in your body have space to be heard. There is time to slow down. Gradually you begin to reconnect and listen to your body’s wisdom. Feel and gradually release some deep and long held patterns.

  • Inner alignment and strength: Focus on relevant movement practices that develop inner strength and centredness. You recognise that embodied movement is helping other areas of your life.

  • Boundary making: You begin to appreciate yourself and your needs more. You actively create more time in your life for yourself. It is a welcome relief when you give yourself more space.

  • Growth and renewal: Patterns that aren’t helpful anymore begin to shift. You have more trust in your body, you’ve started a self practice and feel more empowered.

The pathway isn’t always linear. It can spiral back around before moving forwards again.
