Craniosacral therapy, somatic yoga movement and coaching.
Reconnecting to a sense of self, through the body, can create meaningful change for people in health and life transitions.
I offer sessions online and in real life at my home practice in Sydenham helping people to access their body’s wisdom to navigate challenging times.
States of stillness for release and resourcing, somatic movement for alignment and energy, listening to the body’s internal compass for direction and action.
Change is a natural process in life. We know this in our bones and yet it can still hit really hard. Health issues like an injury, illness or a diagnosis can be painful and anxiety inducing affecting way more than your physical body. The psychological and emotional impact can be huge, especially if you’re used to being healthy and active. When a part of your identity is tied up with your capacity to lead, create and support others you can feel betrayed and broken.
Entering perimenopause or being in the menopause can be like a threshing and dismantling of everything you knew about yourself.
Likely you may have done all the things: physio exercises, listened to wellbeing podcasts, changed your diet, added in supplements and yet there still feels like something fundamental is missing. It’s like you’ve lost an essential sense of who you are.
During a transition or health crisis it can feel as if life has asked you to take a pause, and make room for a necessary change. How do you answer that call? What’s needed?
As a dancer, craniosacral therapist and Scaravelli inspired yoga teacher, I’ve worked with and listened to the stories people hold in their bodies for several decades. I can help you listen to yours so you can rebuild that deep sense of connection to your self, growing resilience and curating a path forward.
I’ve been there too. Crashing into perimenpaouse with an autoimmune disorder and crashing out of menopause with a bike accident, 2 broken bones, 2 total hip replacements and a side dish of breast cancer.
The way I work is co-creative, trauma informed and empathic. I care a lot, about people and the planet. I believe some part of the dysfunction in the current climate is a disconnection from the home of our bodies, from the earth and from each other. In the advancing screen based and technological age it feels even more vital to remain human and embodied.
Be in touch and let’s see how I can support you to navigate this time.
